ABOUT SHARON

From Fear to Freedom – Reconnecting with my Body

From a young age, I learned that the world could be a very scary place. My nervous system was constantly dysregulated, always on high alert, shaping how I moved through life.

This manifested as anxiety tendencies that followed me into adulthood.

I lived in a body that didn’t feel safe.
But through it all, my guiding light was my Aunty—a source of strength, wisdom, and comfort when the world felt overwhelming.

For years, I searched for ways to feel at home in my body again, to regulate my nervous system, and find freedom beyond fear.

My healing came through the mastery of powerful practices:

Cold Water Immersion – Pulling my body into discomfort, strengthening my mindset, and using my breath to regulate my nervous system.

Dance – Not just movement, but a way to shift energy, express emotions without words, and give myself permission to be playful. It helped me release anger, hug myself, and connect deeply with my menstrual cycle.

Learning About Ancient Goddesses – Discovering the wisdom of goddesses from various traditions helped me reclaim my power, understand my cyclical nature, and embrace the phases of life with acceptance and strength.

Tuning into My Menstrual Cycle & Intuition – I started tracking my cycle, understanding its phases, and recognising how my energy, creativity, and emotions shifted throughout the month.

This deepened my connection to my inner knowing and helped me trust myself more fully.

These practices changed everything. They helped me step out of survival mode and into a life of intention, embodiment, and deep connection with myself. And that’s exactly why I do this work today.

THE IMPACT I AM MAKING

WHY CHOOSE ME TO HELP YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY?

I founded a Menopause Peer Support Group in March 2023 to create safe spaces for women to share and be heard.
During my 20 year career within the NHS as a Health Improvement Practioner I have impacted hundreds of individuals by:
Leading Preventative Health Projects – I played a key role in delivering initiatives aimed at improving public health and well-being, focusing on long-term preventative strategies.

Delivering Health & Well-being Presentations – I educated individuals and communities on crucial health topics, empowering them with the knowledge and tools to make informed choices.

Addressing Health Inequalities – My work focused on tackling systemic health disparities, ensuring that marginalised and vulnerable groups had access to the support they needed.

Supporting Workplace Well-being – You advocated for better workplace health policies, helping organisations create environments that prioritised mental and physical well-being. I left my 20-year career in Health Improvement to empower midlife women through positive psychology, ancient wisdom, and magic.

I hosted workshops, spoke at retreats, and stepped into media opportunities to change the conversation around menopause and midlife transformation.

I supported women on a 1:1 basis to reduce stress, align with their true purpose, and reconnect with their inner wisdom helping them reclaim their intuitive power by understanding their cyclical nature and working with the wisdom of ancient goddesses!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

'Sharon came along to a staff menopause support group we have within NHS Lanarkshire. The room got a little brighter when she entered. Her enthusiasm to support & empower women was uplifting & contagious. She candidly shared her own story which triggered others to share their own. We included some drumming in our session which for someone with a busy mind, it calmed. We finished with some dancing which was liberating & Sharon’s energy was infectious. The freedom we felt to be ourselves & share our individual challenges & triumphs provided a welcome alternative to the medical model which can be more restrictive & scientific. This session felt much more personalised & tailored to our individual needs'
